We had a fantastic Tuesday night stay with our 2.5 year old. The staff were friendly and accommodating from arrival, we felt relaxed and well looked after the whole stay. Our Park Suite was very clean and really comfortable. The swimming pool is well maintained and great for families. The Counter was a great spot to grab coffee in the morning. It was perfect being so close to the beach, broadwalk and restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

My friends and I got a day pass for the pool and had a lovely time!!! The food and drinks were good and the atmosphere was overall peaceful. The bartender and waitress at the pool were very chill, kind, and fun to talk to. The pool water was warm and very pleasant to swim in! I definitely will be going back. You can also bring the kids so it’s a nice time solo, with your friends, or as a family!

As someone who works in hospitality, I have to say this experience has been incredibly disappointing. When you’re paying nearly $600 a night after resort fees, you expect a certain level of service—especially from what is marketed as a four-star hotel. The pool was closed our first day, which was frustrating enough. When it finally opened, the outdoor pool area was dirty, the grounds were poorly maintained, and there was virtually no staff available. Guests were waiting in lines eight people deep just to order a drink, with no servers walking the pool deck. We waited 45 minutes for a single drink, and getting food was just as difficult. The most disappointing part is that everyone around us was saying the same thing. This wasn’t an isolated complaint—it was clear the hotel is severely understaffed and struggling to provide the level of service guests are paying for. Management needs to take a hard look at what’s happening here. Charging premium prices while delivering subpar service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured we won’t be returning.

The Asbury Hotel is simply one of the best places to stay on the Jersey Shore, and we keep coming back for good reason. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is just right. It’s cool, laid-back, and full of character. The ambiance hits that rare sweet spot between stylish and genuinely welcoming. The rooms are spotless, the staff is warm and attentive, and the location makes everything convenient whether you’re heading to the beach, the boardwalk, or exploring Asbury Park’s incredible music and food scene. I need to give a special shoutout to the café! The coffee is excellent, and having a great cup ready when you need it (morning or night) is one of those little things that elevates a stay from good to great. We’d book this hotel again and again without hesitation. The only thing we’d love to see? Open the bar a little earlier on weekends. The vibes are already there, just let us enjoy them sooner! If you’re heading to Asbury Park and wondering where to stay, stop wondering. The Asbury Hotel is it.

We've stayed at The Asbury a number of times in the last couple of years. We booked initially because it is dog friendly and we want to bring our Chihuahua with us. But we keep coming back for that reason and because it is a fun place. Is it a luxury resort? No. But the rooms are always clean and the service is unmatched. From the front desk, to the housekeeping team, the counter, diner and bar servers and valet, everyone greets you with a smile and a kind word. It is a nice relaxing place for us to spend a few days with our dog in our favorite Jersey shore town.
