I heard a lot about this place and drove two hours to come here. I love the area and was looking for a good food spot. I know they have great pizza, but I wanted to find brunch in the area. We sat at the bar because there were plenty of seats. It looked like there were two bartenders working. The restaurant was only half full, but we thought we’d have good service at the bar. Our server seemed new; she didn’t write down our order. She repeated it back incorrectly, still didn’t write it down, and then entered it into the POS system. She kept asking if it was correct as she shouted it back to us. We thought this was weird because she could’ve just written it down. We ordered ricotta toast and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. It took 40 minutes for the food to come out and when it did they forgot the bacon. And my toast was cold. We asked the other bartender about the bacon and the long wait time, and he was very rude. We said, we ordered 40 minutes ago and no one came back to check on us. The girl who waited on us was standing behind the bar, staring at us, writing in a notebook and never acknowledged us after that. The other male bartender was rude when we asked how much longer our order would take he said “You did not order 40 minutes ago!!” I said, we did. Upon walking into the restaurant, we took several pictures and they were time stamped. The male bartender went over to the POS system to check our order. We stated that we did order bacon 40 minutes prior. It had never been put in so he added it to our order. We waited for the bacon; it didn’t come out for several minutes. While we were waiting, I asked for the manager and the male bartender snapped back at me and said “Why?” He didn’t want to get her, and I insisted I speak to her because I wanted to let someone about this experience. He walked away from the bar, threw his hands up and was yelling. After that he didn’t speak to us either. I find it shocking that there are people like this who don’t care about food, service or helping customers at all. I wouldn’t go back here because it was very strange, and I’ve never had an experience with two servers who were so rude and aloof.

Interesting experience. Highlight from what I can tell is the pizza and drink. Atmosphere also is low pretense and chic. It appears to be a regular joint, but it has more character than that. It’s got the patina right where it needs to, on the bar, floor, tables, and staff. I would go weekly if I lived here and I am positive that people do.

We've eaten here twice and both times haven't remembered to take a proper pic because when the food arrives we just want to eat it! This time we had the blueberry doughnuts (high recommend them), a biscuit side (very good), a margarita pizza, the mushroom pizza and the special lemonade pizza (all very good), soft scramble on toast (not bad), the clam chowder (I didn't have this but it was enjoyed). Service was great - very friendly. We couldn't get a reservation for a 6 person table at 12:30 and when we called they said they wouldn't be able to make one for us but we decided to walk by anyway and they were able to seat us. We'll definitely be back! And we'll definitely get those doughnuts again.

I always look for a busy place when I stop in an unfamiliar place and have no reservation. Walked in and they said there was a 1 hr wait but we were seated in about 25 minutes. Service and service were great. Only disappointment was the wine, for the price it was not good.

Yes, yes and YESSS! Absolutely run! So we were “in the area” for the weekend (wedding) and before headed back south, I needed some good hungover food. Many restaurants didn’t open til 11, but Talulas opened at 10, and they had a bar- SOLD! While riding shotgun, I scanned their menu online. Gin & homemade jam cocktail? 12” sourdough pizzas??? Ummmm yes please! We walk in and are immediately greated into this super cute rustic/urban yet cozy spot. We choose a high top for our seat. A gluten for punishment, I immediately order myself a cockie- and heck yeah I’m trying their homemade Gin & Jam bev! Served in a rocks glass, this light pink drink has a petite spoon laid on top with the jam just begging for a lick- I take a lil taste 😊, but then do as i am supposed to and mix it into my liquids. Mmmm, Went down like water! After waiting for my husband to glance the menu, it’s finally time to make a choice: One Margie and one Lemonade pizza please! My husband choice was the Margie (margarita pie), their sauce was a perfect mixture of tang and sweet with just enough fresh muzz and burrata, you can’t go wrong there. But he’s never been a risk taker when it comes to food.. I couldn’t decide between two seasonal pies, Brussels or lemons? Hmmm.. I asked my awesome server, and went with his suggestion. Lemonade pie it is! I am SO glad I did! This pie was absolutely everyyyything I wanted (and needed) at that moment. The sourdough crust was thin and flaky. The ricotta was whipped with mascarpone and just so light and fluffy. But the lemonssss - Ooohh those meyer lemons! Yes baby!!! Sweet and sour perfection!!!!! Absolute bliss I tell ya! I’m drooling again just thinking about that pie…. Unable to finish our pies, but miraculously, when asked if we wanted dessert, all of a sudden, my dessert stomach stepped forward, and again I went with my servers suggestion: Strawberry Tres Leches (I guess I was feelin’ fruity). Another stellar recommendation! This place was fantastic! Top tier in my opinion!!! I’m definitely returning soon, with a DD and stretchier pants!!!!
