I've tried Guitar lessons a couple times during my life and never was able to stick with it for more than a couple of weeks. Lakehouse puts you right into the mix with a band of your peers and out there on stage performing live which makes all the difference. So much so that I've joined 2 bands with Lake house, one rhythm guitar and another as lead singer fulfilling my lifelong bucket list. The Lakehouse community is amazing !

From Sylvie, age 9: Ever wish you could learn how to play music? Playing in a band at Lakehouse is a fun way to study. At Lakehouse, you can learn how to work well in a group. Big Gigs help show what you have accomplished. Playing in a band can fulfill a lifelong goal. Learning at Lakehouse gives me good vibes and the community is encouraging.

I’ve had such a great experience at Lakehouse! My daughter takes private piano lessons and the staff went above and beyond to understand how to best set her up for success and connect her to a teacher that was age and skill appropriate. (She’s a kindergartener). After just the first week, I was so impressed that her attention was captivated and she was sent home with homework to practice. Every week she progresses more and more - after a few months, she knows how to read music notes, is learning rhythms and can play a few songs. Her teacher, Miss Emily, is FANTASTIC and the overall vibe of the school is awesome. I truly feel like as long as my daughter continues to be passionate about music, this school can support her in every step of her journey. But even if she went on to other things, the foundational skills of learning math and reading through music theory at this age blows my mind. What better way to learn fractions and critical thinking?! The thing that sticks out the most is the way I hear the instructors interact with the kids, even just in the hallways. They take children seriously as artists dedicated to their craft. If you have a budding musician in you or your kids, this place is awesome.

Lake House Music Academy is exceptional. Instructors, mentors, management and supportive staff are welcoming and supportive. Music education is both individualized taylored while supporting group process. This music education encourages music skills while also teaching social and emotional personal growth. The school and staff encourages students to be fully engaged in music culture and community in different environments from the classroom, studio to the community. Lakehouse is a very unique place!
