I recently attended three shows in the span of a month or two at House Of independents. I’m really excited that this venue is in our area because it’s very accessible and they have a lot of interesting acts coming through. I also like that it’s actually independent and not part of live nation. The staff here was really nice from the bartenders to the ticket takers to the security. Everyone was very welcoming to myself and the fam. I also had a really great set of interactions with Marc the manager who helped accommodate us with the situation that came up. Overall, I feel like they really care about the product they’re putting out and they’re invested in showing guests a good time. I would definitely come here again or recommend people to throw events here because it seems like they support all kinds of artists and formats, and we need more places like this and community spaces in a world where people are so separated all the time.

I photographed the Locals Only event at House of Independents and had an incredible experience. I shot all 10 bands on the lineup, and every single one brought amazing energy and talent to the stage. The diversity of sound and performance made the night exciting from start to finish. From a concert photographer’s perspective, this is a fantastic venue to shoot in. The lighting was excellent and changed with each band, perfectly matching their individual vibes and styles. Every set felt visually distinct, which made capturing each performance even better. These photos are just highlights, but they barely scratch the surface of how strong the performances were live. The venue itself is very photographer-friendly. The crew and staff were welcoming and professional, allowing access to multiple great spots to shoot from. Sightlines were clear, and the layout made it easy to move around without interfering with the crowd. House of Independents is an ideal space for live music and local artists, and I can’t recommend it enough for photographers and concert-goers alike.

Saw Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem here years ago. Jared Hart opened for him. It was a solid show. Great atmosphere and you can get really close to the stage if you get here early. Highly recommend you going here for a show!

Great Venue! Was my first time being here for a concert. The place is set up really nice and it was an intimate setting. Went to see Luciano-The Messenger, a Jamaican artist. Show was GREAT! Drinks were good. Staff were friendly and place was clean. The sound system was amazing and it didn’t carry. It stuck right there with you. Perfection! 2 things I was a bit perplexed about were, 1) bought the tickets as a general admission and it showed 2 chairs together which meant you’re seated. It was general admission, but the place was so intimate, and it was standing room only, why have different prices for tickets where everyone who bought a ticket is in the same place doing the same thing. The VIP I could understand somewhat, the only diff with that was, you’re seated at a table and you had to have bottle service. The general admission/pricing part was really misleading! And the 2nd) thing, I saw children. CHILDREN under 10yrs there. What sort of establishment asks adults for ID’s but kids are allowed in, especially at a late hour. ?? That blew me. I also thought they should have a man and woman at the door doing pat downs, not 2 women. Overall, great space. Clean space. Great staff.

Wonderful Venue! Attended the Candlelight Performance last night, breathtaking performance. These young musicians were extremely talented. They played music selections from Cold Play and Magic Dragon and they all played beautifully!. The staff were professional and friendly. This was my first time there and I will return for sure.
