I have so many memories at this place. Especially with going to shows here as a teenager. Was here for Warped Tour and Skate and Surf festival. Saw so many amazing bands in and around the convention hall. Would be amazing if Warped Tour came back for a reunion tour.

Artistically soulful, breathtaking beauty on an oceanfront adventure of mad love ❤️ And yes, this is a picture of the old carousel building at the other end of the boardwalk, which I have always considered an arm of the Convention Center since I was a kid. All mystical in its own element.

This is an iconic building in the area, clearly visible from the beach. It is an old architectural building with lots of windows and open spaces; It does show signs of aging as the window frames have rusts and some walls have paint falling off. But there are lots of shops, restaurants and local artisan stores inside. Lots of guests walk in for food, shopping or just to take a break from the heat. Anyone visiting Asbury Park beach should by this landmark.

Convention hall serves a few purposes on the boardwalk. It’s a venue with great acts, it has bars and restrooms for nearby beach goers that are handy in a pinch. As well as local vendors selling everything from clothes to records. On top of that, and the main reason I usually stop in, is the coffee spot which makes a nice latte. That said, it’s patrolled pretty heavily by security and like the rest of Asbury boardwalk…is not pet friendly. On previous visits this was true of the boardwalk itself but convention hall always seemed to accommodate leashes pets with owners on a walk who maybe wanted a quick coffee. But on my most recent trip I was told pets were not allowed and asked to leave (which just seemed odd because the coffee shop had a bowl our with free treats for pets?) So maybe it’s a newer/stricter rule but that just didn’t feel like the Asbury vibe i guess.

Asbury Park Beach is everything! I absolutely love the ambiance here — it’s laid-back, vibrant, and super gay-friendly! The energy is unmatched, with the perfect mix of beach vibes and queer love in the air. From the colorful crowd to the music and the iconic fans spinning above the boardwalk, everything feels inclusive and alive. Whether you’re soaking up the sun, people-watching, or just vibing with your crew, this beach radiates joy, acceptance, and community. Definitely one of my favorite places to be myself and feel the love. 🌈💖✨
